The weather is finally warming up, allowing students to shed layers and don a lighter wardrobe.
Retail stores around Morgantown are taking advantage of this in-between weather with spring sales featuring both winter clearance items as well as new warm-weather looks.
Many stores are looking to clear their winter clearance due to warmer temperatures, including Vance's Blues at 111 Walnut St.
The shop is currently having a winter sale with items like tops, shoes and designer denim marked down.
Spencer's, located in the Morgantown Mall, is currently hosting a spring sale in honor of Saint Patrick's Day.
The store is offering mugs, yardsticks and bottle openers starting at just $4.99, and hat and T-shirt combinations are on sale for 50 percent off.
Another mall location that has deals for spring is Gap, which is hosting the "Recycle Your Blues" campaign through March 14. As part of the effort, anyone who brings old denim to the store will receive 30 percent off the purchase of new denim.
For those looking for spring reading, the Morgantown Mall is hosting a Used Book Sale to benefit area school children. The sale will take place April 16 to April 18 and April 23 to April 25.
Anyone can donate books to the sale until March 26.

Possibly the biggest spring sale happening now is at Coni & Franc, located at 422 High St.
As part of the Spring Doorbuster Sale, owner Connie Merandi said a good portion of items in the store have been marked down.
"We have a sale of up to 70 percent off, and a huge section of the store is put aside for it," she said. "It is everything from separates and suits and dresses to gowns."
Merandi said the store currently had several pairs of shoes on sale for $25.
The shop is also giving discounts on its bridal attire, which Merandi said is "the greatest part."
Sample wedding gowns are currently marked half-off, and Merandi said she would give customers who have their own seamstresses up to 75 percent off sample wedding gowns.
