Student in Towers incident charged with sexual abuse

Ethan Kyle Dye, 18, a freshman exercise physiology major at West Virginia University, was arrested on a charge of first degree sexual abuse over the weekend. He was later released on $10,000 surety bond. His charge is in relationship to an incident early Thursday morning at Lyon Tower in the Evansdale Residential Complex. University Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:35 a.m. Dye, a resident of Lyon Tower, allegedly entered the dorm room of at least two other residents, inappropriately touching several females. Police said he appeared to be under the influence, though they are unsure of whether it was drugs or alcohol. — sem
