The West Virginia track and field team jumped six spots to No. 20 in this week’s USTFCCCA poll. The Mountaineers had dropped out of the top 25 last week.

After breaking a school record and reaching an NCAA qualifying mark last weekend at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup, junior Chelsea Carrier moved up to the No. 5 ranking in the pentathlon. Senior Keri Bland is ranked No. 1 in the mile and No. 21 in the 800 meter.

West Virginia has five runners with NCAA qualifying standars in the mile – Bland, Jessica O’Connell, Aubrey Moskal, Halie Portner and Stephanie Caruso.
