Morgantown holds a variety of international restaurants that offer cuisines from countries, such as India, Thailand, and Syria. Many of which have wide-ranging food options for vegans and vegetarians. According to WVU, students at the Morgantown campus come from 118 nations around the world, and there are roughly 30,000 students currently enrolled. Therefore, a variety of food is important in order to satisfy students and citizens alike. Trying new food can be an educational journey as well.Â

One of the most popular appetizers at Jasmine Grill is the falafel with tahini. Restaurant owner Samer Al Hallak and his wife Laila Boalbaki offer middle eastern style food from their home country, Syria.

Salam Restaurant offers a wide selection of authentic middle eastern and Mediterranean dishes, such as baba ganoush and chicken mandi. According to the restaurant’s website, the food is 100% halal, meaning it follows Islamic law.

The owner of TK’s Fruit Produce and Bubble Tea makes a fruit smoothie including strawberries, bananas and soy milk. The restaurant offers vegan and vegetarian food options from the countries of Thailand, Malaysia and India. All ingredients are either fresh or dried.
