George Campbell has applied for a sixth season of eligibility, West Virginia head football coach Neal Brown announced on Friday.
“We (are) pretty certain that he’ll be approved,” Brown said. “It’s really going to be a decision for him.”
During his time at Florida State, the 6-foot-4-inch wide receiver was limited by injuries. The Clearwater, Florida, native played in only 11 games during his previous two seasons with the Seminoles before transferring to WVU prior to this season.
During his redshirt senior with the Mountaineers, he caught 19 passes for 169 yards and seven touchdowns over 11 games.
