Redshirt junior guard Tynice Martin announced on Wednesday night that she will spurn the WNBA Draft and remain at West Virginia for the 2019-20 season.

This season, Martin led the Mountaineers in scoring, averaging 18 points per game. She started 32 games this season, leading the team with an average of 37 minutes per game.

Martin was sidelined during all of the 2017-18 season with an injury.

In her three seasons on the court with the Mountaineers, Martin has risen to 11th all-time in scoring in the program’s history.

Correction: A previous version of this article said that an athletic department release announced Martin was staying at WVU. That is incorrect. She announced it herself on Wednesday night following the team's loss to Northwestern.
