Fresh off an upset of No. 2 Ohio State, the West Virginia men's basketball team has risen to No. 16 in Monday's AP poll. 

The Mountaineers had previously been ranked No. 22.

Ohio State has dropped down to No. 5.

Kansas, who the Mountaineers will face once conference play begins on Jan. 4, moved up two spots to No. 3.

Other Big 12 schools to appear in the top 25 include Baylor (No. 6) and Texas Tech (No. 24).
