The West Virginia tennis team finished off a successful weekend of competition against Ball State, Delaware, and Navy on Sunday with 14 total wins in the Martha Thorn Invitational in Morgantown.

The West Virginia University tennis team opened its final road trip of the season on Friday night with a loss to the Kansas State Wildcats, 7-0.

This weekend, the West Virginia women’s tennis team will host the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday and the Marshall Thundering Herd on Sunday. These are the final two non-conference matchups for the Mountaineers as they prepare to start conference play against Texas Tech next week. 

Saturday marks the first day of the spring season for the West Virginia women’s tennis team as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne on Saturday and Pittsburgh on Sunday.

The West Virginia University tennis team got shutout by seventh-ranked Texas, 4-0, in Austin on Sunday.

The West Virginia University tennis teams lost to Baylor, 4-0, in Waco on Friday.

The West Virginia University tennis team grabbed a win against Akron on Friday, and lost to East Tennessee State on Saturday.

WVU wraps up its regular season schedule this weekend at home against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Both opponents come into the weekend ranked No. 9 and No. 38, respectively. 

The West Virginia tennis team has endured many ups and downs so far this season. The Mountaineers are 4-9 and have struggled as of late, dropping their last four matches. However, one steady force for WVU has been junior Habiba Shaker.
