The West Virginia tennis team continued its winning form in a 7-0 win against Toledo on Sunday at the Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown. 

The Mountaineers swept singles play, winning in six matches. 

The first win was in senior Sofia Duran’s favor as she won through forfeit, while freshman Kat Lyman secured the second win against Sloane Teske (6-3, 6-3). Adding wins were sophomore Anastasia Bovolskaia (7-6 (7-5), 6-1), junior Giovanna Caputo (7-5, 6-0), junior Anne-Sophie Courteau (6-2, 0-6, 6-4) and senior Christina Jordan (6-1, 6-4). 

West Virginia earned two doubles victories as well, including one forfeit for the duo of Caputo and Bovolskaia. The second win came for Jordan and Duran as they dispatched of Teske and Patricia Panta (6-3). 

The Rockets earned their only victory against Courteau and Lyman courtesy of DeeDee Leenabanchong and Eileen Carney (6-3).

The team will return to action in Morgantown on Friday, hosting Buffalo in non-conference play.
