With their victory last night, the West Virginia women's soccer team qualified as the No. 4 seed in the Big 12 tournament. They will face No. 5 seed Kansas on Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Big 12 quarterfinal.

These two teams met on Oct. 24 in Lawrence. West Virginia fought hard against No. 23 Kansas, but they were only able to tie, 1-1.

The Jayhawks go into Sunday’s match ranked No. 25 in the country and coming off a win against Iowa State on Halloween. Kansas has not lost a match since Oct. 3 when it faced Oklahoma State in Stillwater.

Kansas finished the season with a 12-4-5 record, going 4-2-3 in conference. The Jayhawks' leading scorer on the season was Katie McClure, who tallied 33 points on 13 goals and seven assists. McClure finished second in the conference in both points and goals.
