The West Virginia women's soccer team is in the win column once again.

After falling in their last two games, the Mountaineers picked up a much needed win on Sunday as they defeated the visiting Oklahoma Sooners at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, 1-0.

The lone goal for WVU came in the game's 54th minute as Alina Stahl was able to connect on a cross from Jade Gentile and boot the ball into the Oklahoma net. The goal was the fourth of the season for Stahl.

Despite totaling nine shots on the day, the Sooners were unable to tie the game.

The lone stat that Oklahoma was able to eclipse West Virginia in was saves, as the Sooners had four compared to WVU's two.

The Mountaineers ended the day with 13 total shots, with five shots on goal, as well as fewer fouls and offsides penalties than Oklahoma.

West Virginia's next matchup will take place in Lawrence, Kansas, as the Mountaineers take on the Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday. The 8:00 p.m. start will be broadcast as a part of Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
