Thursday night ended in heartbreaking fashion for the West Virginia women’s soccer team as they watched their hopes at a Big 12 regular season championship diminish after falling to Kansas, 1-0, in overtime.

Coming in with a six match win streak, the 16th-ranked WVU women’s soccer team was unable to keep their winning ways alive as they battled to a 1-0 loss to the 24th-ranked Baylor Friday night at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

In the first home Big 12 Conference matchup for the WVU women’s soccer team, the No. 23 Mountaineers eradicated the Kansas State Wildcats, 4-0. The Friday night victory gives WVU a 3-0 record in Big 12 Conference play for the first time since 2016.

Coming off of a win against Texas Tech, the WVU women’s soccer team defeated TCU, 2-0 on Sunday. The Mountaineers are now 2-0 to start Big 12 play for the first time since 2016.

Coming off of a win against Boston University this past Thursday, the WVU women’s soccer team was able to sweep its homestand as it defeated Saint Francis, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The West Virginia Mountaineers women's soccer team have now won consecutive games for the first time this season.

After losing to Georgetown earlier in the week, the West Virginia University women’s soccer team was able to right the ship as they defeated Clemson by a score of 2-1 Friday night at Clemson’s Riggs Field.

The West Virginia women’s soccer team will take on an old foe against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a matchup that used to be considered a conference game in the years when both were Big East affiliates.

As West Virginia opened the 2017 NCAA tournament Saturday afternoon on Veteran’s Day, it was the Mountaineer veterans that took control of the match. Two goals by senior Michaela Abam were supplemented by another by Sh’Nia Gordon to give West Viriginia an opening round victory over Bucknell.
