The West Virginia cross country team took fourth place at the Big 12 Championships in Round Rock, Texas, on Saturday.
Senior Maggie Drazba led the way for the Mountaineers, finishing sixth overall with a time of 20:19.
Senior Amy Cashin finished her last Big 12 Championship with a 13th place finish in a time of 20:44.
Freshman Haley Jackson (21:07) took 25th overall, and sophomores Olivia Hill (21:26) and Candace Jones (21:29) finished in 35th and 36th overall, respectively, to round out the team score for WVU.
Iowa State took home the title with a 49-team score/ Oklahoma State finished as the runner-up, while Texas finished third.
Freshman Sarah Wills (40th overall finish), freshman Bree Warren (54th), senior Rebecca Wendt (57th) and freshman Antigone Archer (61st) also competed for the Mountaineers on Saturday.
The Mountaineers return to action Nov. 10 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. Start time is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
